Winter Concert 2020 on Zoom. Many of Ruti's students performed on piano and ukulele. Funny, most of them seem to be called Santa!
Passing on a love of playing and performing is central to Ruti's music teaching activities.
Ruti runs Music and Literature workshops - most recently in libraries in Cork City and County (see blog section of website)
Ruti currently teaches piano and ukulele at Cork City Music College.
At the Killarney School of Music for 5 years, and Kerry School of Music before that, Ruti taught one-to-one piano and piano accordion lessons and group keyboard classes. She now teaches piano and violin with Cork City Music College, and early years/pre-instrumental classes in Togher Girls' School, and with Cork City Music College.
Listening, improvising, playing with others, and composing are an essential part of the holistic music education experience that Active Music offers. We aim to enhance children's appreciation of different genres and ways of playing.
All students are encouraged to join in with group performances, you are never too young, or too old, to join a band!
